We pride ourselves on producing Stud Book Tradition (SBT) Savannah kittens that represent their Serval lineage as closely as possible.
We are a family-run program that shares a passion for raising quality bred Savannah kittens. Our program is run between two homes, which means lots of hands and help in caring for and raising these beautiful felines.
Here is an educational link that explains the Breed Standard:
We personally travel all over North America to bring our cats home.
We meet their breeders, some whom have over 20 years’ experience and are highly respected within the Savannah cat community. We have done our research and procured lines that are highly sought after and often not available anywhere else in Canada.
Here at Alberta Savannahs we work closely with multiple veterinarians to ensure all our Savannahs are in the best possible physical & mental health.
Our Kings and Queens have all recommended testing done through UC Davis.
We make socialization a priority with all our adults & kittens. This ensures they are as confident as possible and ready for a smooth transition into their new home. We work hard to to make sure that when the time comes to take your kitten home everyone is prepared, and we are always available to help our kitten families long after they go home.
All our kittens come with a 1-year health warranty, if purchased as a pet. Kittens will be neutered or spayed before going home (unless otherwise recommended by a vet), include 6 weeks of pet insurance (within Canada), TICA registration, medical booklet, and up to date at the vet per age in regulation to our schedule.
If you are looking for a pet that will turn heads with their uncommon and wild-looking features, or if you just need a new addition to your family, the Savannah cat is a great and unique choice.
They are as intelligent as they are beautiful. They have very tall, long and muscular bodies. Some can grow as heavy as 22lbs, but not all Savannahs reach that weight and can range from 8lbs to 19lbs. Females are generally smaller then males.
This breed's size has very little to do with their outstanding wild personalities, playful temperaments, and loving nature. They are very interactive cats and are often referred as almost “dog-like” in personality. They are a very loyal feline and bond easily with their families. Ours do well in homes with children and cat-friendly pets. They enjoy playing fetch and going for walks outdoors. They are easily trained and when you bring home a kitten from us at Alberta Savannahs you always have us as a resource for any health, diet and behavior advice.
After our initial adoption approval process is complete A non refundable deposit of $500-$1000 is required to reserve any kitten until they are 12-16 weeks old & ready to come home. Our prices of Savannah cats are $1400-$5500 depending on the kitten.
* we currently have Kittens available (savannah cats for sale)
Due to restrictions on hybrid felines in Alberta we only produce F5SBT-F7SBT kittens. Only F4 and later generations are permitted in AB. When searching for the perfect SBT (purebred) Savannah to ad to your home please be sure to look into TICA breed standard (provided above) before starting your search. F4-F7 SBT are all similar in size and personality. You can have a quality F7SBT that outshines an F4SBT this is why it's important to educate yourself on the TICA standard and not just buy your Savannah based on generation alone. please feel free to ask us any questions you may have as cat breeders we enjoy educating people on our breed.

When you buy from a registered breeder you are choosing to prevent the illegal breeding of Savannah cats in Alberta. All Savannahs and Bengals must be registered in Alberta due to restrictions on permitted generations. Veterinarians are required to report any animals they may suspect to be restricted in the area.
Additionally, if you cannot provide TICA certification papers to Bylaw upon request they can legally confiscate and euthanize the animal.
